Required

• Active California Bar membership
• 2-7+ years of litigation experience
• Strong academic credentials
• Excellent writing, research, and advocacy skills
• A genuine interest in litigating sophisticated matters nationwide

Preferred

• Insurance coverage and defense experience
• First-party and/or third-party coverage experience
• Experience representing insurers in coverage disputes
• Federal court experience
• California residency

As our California practice continues to grow, we are seeking a Litigation Associate Attorney (2-7+ years) for our Emeryville office .

This opportunity is ideal for attorneys who genuinely enjoy litigation and want to build a practice that extends beyond their local market. You'll work on matters throughout the United States, collaborate with highly regarded litigators, and gain meaningful responsibility in sophisticated cases from the outset.

What You'll Handle

• Complex litigation in federal and state courts across the country
• Insurance coverage analysis and litigation
• First-party and third-party insurance disputes
• Declaratory judgment actions
• Catastrophic-loss and high-exposure claims
• Motion practice, legal research, and brief writing
• Depositions, hearings, mediations, and arbitrations
• Direct client interaction and litigation strategy development

Flexible Hybrid Schedule

We believe talented attorneys can do exceptional work from a variety of locations.

This role offers a highly flexible hybrid structure. Candidates who live outside the immediate Bay Area are encouraged to apply. In many cases, attorneys who reside farther from Emeryville need only be in the office approximately once per month , while remaining fully integrated into the team.

Compensation

Salary Range: $140,000 - $225,000+

Compensation will be commensurate with experience, credentials, and demonstrated expertise. Exceptional candidates with significant insurance coverage and litigation experience may be considered above the posted range.
