How will you make a difference?

Must have the ability to Set-Up a minimum of Six different types of machines. Must be a combination of VMC’s, HMC’s, TMC’s, Fiber Laser, Break press and /or Robotic Welders. Produces machined parts by programming, setting up, and operating numerical computer control (CNC) machines; maintaining quality and safety standards; keeping records; maintaining equipment and supplies.

What do we want to know about you?

· Associate degree (A. A.) or equivalent from two-year College or technical school; or five (5)+ years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Requires basic understanding of blueprint reading leadership capability and ability to solve problems.

What will your typical day look like?

· Plans tooling inventory by checking tools to determine amount available; anticipating needed tools; placing and expediting orders for tools; verifying receipt of tools.

· Loads feed mechanism by lifting stock into position and capable of modifying mill fixtures, turn and bore lathe Jaws, select and recommend tooling.

· Programs Mills, Lathes, Break Press, Lasers and /or Robotic Welders by entering instructions, including zero and reference points; setting tool registers, offsets, compensation, and conditional switches; calculating requirements, including basic math, geometry, and trigonometry; proving part programs.

· Maintains specifications by observing drilling, grooving, and cutting, including turning, facing, knurling and thread chasing operations; taking measurements; detecting malfunctions; troubleshooting processes; adjusting and reprogramming CNC controls; sharpening and replacing worn tools; adhering to quality assurance procedures and processes.

· Maintains equipment by completing daily preventive maintenance requirements; following manufacturer's instructions; troubleshooting malfunctions; and report repairs.

· Sets-up aforementioned machines by installing and adjusting three- and four-jaw chucks, tools, attachments, collets, indicating vice or work piece, bushings, cams, gears, stops, bar feeders, cutting conditions, bending radius and bending pressure.

What about the physical demands of the job?

· The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 20 pounds.

· Specific vision abilities include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, and depth perception.

· While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to reach hands and arms and talk or hear.

· The employee is occasionally required to stand, walk, sit, use hands to finger, handle, or feel; and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.

You may also be asked to perform other duties outside of your function or trade, for which adequate training will be provided if necessary.

Salary Range: $33-$38/ Hour

Our job titles may span more than one career level. The salary rate for this role is currently $0-0 The actual salary offered to a candidate may be influenced by a variety of factors, such as: training, transferable skills, work experience, education, business needs, market demands and work location.
