Nurse Practitioner - Cardiovascular/Cardiothoracic Surgery - $100K-160K per year

SpecialtyCare is seeking a Nurse Practitioner Cardiovascular/Cardiothoracic Surgery for a job in West Palm Beach, Florida. Job Description & Requirements Specialty: Cardiovascular/Cardiothoracic Surgery Discipline: Nurse Practitioner Duration: Ongoing Employment Type: Staff Job Responsibilities Act as the First Assistant or Second Assistant to surgeons during surgical procedures, holding retractors, tying off vessels and tissues, repairing incisions and lacerations, and cutting and cauterizing tissues as needed. Perform complex surgical techniques as directed by the physician. Document all procedures and/or services to patients on face sheets and process face sheets for accurate billing. Share on‑call responsibilities with the team as directed by the team leader. Perform all activities in accordance with established policies and protocols, including orders supervised and countersigned by physician. Qualifications Hold certification or licensure as a CSA, LSA, RNFA, PA-C, or NP. Previous surgical experience as a First Assistant. Experience with robotic surgical systems. Ability to build and maintain business relationships and grow the business. Strong physician/surgeon relationship skills and team mentality. Reliable transportation and willingness to work at multiple locations as needed. Ability to communicate and work effectively with team members, hospital staff, and physicians. Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends, holidays, and be on‑call as scheduled. Must respond to calls or pages within 30 minutes.
