If you are seeking a lucrative hospital-employed practice with a lighter clinical pace and an incredibly supportive working environment, this opportunity is an ideal fit.ResponsibilitiesProvide high-quality emergency medical care to patients within a modern, 32-bed Emergency Department.Manage a highly comfortable patient pace averaging fewer than two encounters per hour.Collaborate seamlessly with a second on-duty physician, maintaining double-physician coverage at all times.Efficiently stabilize and coordinate transfers for high-acuity trauma and major cardiac cases ("no heads, no hearts") to tertiary care partners.Work a predictable rotation of 15 shifts per month utilizing three structured 10-hour blocks (6:00 AM–4:00 PM, 1:00 PM–11:00 PM, or 4:00 PM–2:00 AM).Coordinate patient care with on-site specialties, including the hospital's dedicated inpatient psychiatric department.Maintain thorough, accurate, and timely electronic medical records for all patient encounters.QualificationsDoctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) from an accredited institution.Board Certified or Board Eligible (BC/BE) in Emergency Medicine (or a relevant specialty with extensive ED experience).Active, unrestricted Illinois state medical license (or immediate eligibility to obtain).Valid DEA registration.Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with a team-oriented mindset optimized for a co-coverage model.Benefits$75,000 sign-on bonus structured over 3 years.$100,000 retention bonus structured over 5 years.Low-burnout schedule requiring only 1,776 annual hours (with non-clinical time built directly into the rotation).Premium health, dental, and vision insurance packages.Fully paid medical malpractice insurance coverage.Robust retirement savings plan with employer matching contributions.Full short-term/long-term disability and life insurance policies.
