Position Details:

This position will support the Palliative Care Department.

Facility: St. Joseph's Children's Hospital

Location: Tampa, FL

Status: Full Time, Exempt: Yes

Shift Hours: 8:00AM - 5:00PM

Responsibilities:

• Is a member of a collaborative practice model that includes patients, nurses, hospital care coordinators, physicians, and other practitioners, caregivers, and the community.
• Is knowledgeable about disease, treatment, social and economic implications for individuals and families as it pertains to their age, stage of psychosocial development and discharge needs.
• Is pragmatic in approaching End of Life and ethical issues.
• Utilizes clinical counseling skills when applicable.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Required Education: Masters in Social Work or Mental Health Counseling.
• Required Experience: 1 year social services in a community based social services or health care setting.

• Required - LCSW (Social Work); Or - LMHC (Mental Health). Select departments may also accept LMFT (Marriage and Family) as equal qualification.
