Your career can too. What You'll Do As a Prep Cook , you'll be the backbone of our kitchen by preparing the fresh ingredients our guests expect every day. Responsibilities include: Wash, cut, slice, dice, and portion fresh vegetables and fruits Prepare proteins, cheeses, sauces, and dressings according to Newk's recipes Follow standardized recipes and portion guidelines to ensure consistency Label, rotate, and store food using FIFO inventory practices Prepare soups and other scratch-made recipes as assigned Stock prep stations and kitchen areas for daily service Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary prep area Operate knives and kitchen equipment safely Assist with deliveries, inventory organization, and product rotation Support the line during busy meal periods when needed Follow all food safety, sanitation, and health department standards What Makes a Great Prep Cook?
