We are seeking an experienced personal injury Litigation Paralegal for both pre-litigation and matters already in suit to become a part of our team! You will provide overall support to attorneys' handling and overseeing cases from inception through trial. Competitive salary based upon experience. Our firm has our own building and free parking lot on busy Bustleton Pike, in Bucks County, just a few blocks outside of Northeast Philadelphia and Montgomery County.
Responsibilities:
- Set up initial insurance claims and notify defendants of representation.
- Work with clients about medical care and treatment status.
- Gather medical records, medical bills, lien information, and put together details for a "demand".
- Send out and answer discovery in all cases in suit.
- Schedule depositions.
- Monitor calendar for arbitration dates, settlement conferences, pre-trial conferences, trial, expert witnesses, and timely submit all filings and memorandum which are necessary prior to those litigation events.
- Investigate facts to help in the negotiation of legal disputes.
- Monitor and ensure compliance with state and federal Rules of Civil Procedure.
- Record and store client information in case management programs.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience (3+ years) as a paralegal with similar responsibilities.
- Familiarity with personal injury motor vehicle and premises liability matters.
- Ability to prioritize and multitask
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Deadline and detail-oriented
Established personal injury law firm also representing clients in workers compensation, criminal defense, family/domestic law, and disability.
