Sr Director, Commercial Operations

Twist Bioscience seeks a Senior Director of Commercial Operations to lead process improvements, sales operations, and commercial reporting across the global organization. The role involves managing multiple teams, implementing scalable procedures, and partnering with leadership to drive growth through data-driven commercial strategies.
Responsibilities
- Manage Commercial Operations teams including data, process improvement, sales operations, and project management functions
- Lead cross-functional process improvement initiatives on pricing, contracting, and distributor workflows
- Establish commercial reporting standards and create center of excellence
- Partner with sales and marketing to evaluate and implement new operational technologies
- Hire, coach, and conduct performance reviews for leadership and team members
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Biology, Biochemistry, or related field
- 10+ years progressive commercial and technical experience in life sciences/biotech
- 5+ years in managerial roles leading cross-functional teams
- Expertise in sales planning, forecasting, and pipeline management
- Proficiency with CRM systems, particularly Salesforce
- Strong commercial analytics and process improvement capabilities
