Position Summary

The Sales Project Coordinator is responsible for driving execution, accountability, and coordination of key sales initiatives, customer programs, and strategic projects across the organization. This role serves as the central point of contact between Sales, Customer Service, Procurement, Operations, Logistics, and key customers to ensure projects remain on schedule, customer expectations are met, and business objectives are achieved.

The Sales Project Coordinator is a strategic and hands-on leader who manages complex customer programs, tracks performance metrics, identifies risks, and facilitates communication among internal and external stakeholders. This position plays a critical role in supporting revenue growth, customer satisfaction, and operational excellence within the flexible packaging distribution business.

Key ResponsibilitiesProgram and Project Management

• Lead and manage multiple customer programs and sales-related projects simultaneously.
• Develop project plans, timelines, milestones, and accountability measures.
• Monitor project progress and proactively address delays, risks, and bottlenecks.
• Coordinate cross-functional teams to ensure successful execution of customer commitments.
• Facilitate project meetings and provide regular status updates to leadership.

Customer Relationship Management

• Partner with Sales and the Operations Teams to support strategic customer accounts. 
• Assist with customer onboarding, program launches, product transitions, and implementation activities. 
• Serve as a point of escalation for project-related customer concerns. 
• Ensure customer requirements and expectations are communicated throughout the organization.

Sales Operations Support

• Track and report key performance indicators (KPIs) related to sales programs and project execution. 
• Maintain accurate project documentation and reporting systems. 
• Support forecasting, pipeline management, and sales planning initiatives. 
• Identify opportunities to improve processes, efficiencies, and customer service levels.

Cross-Functional Coordination

• Work closely with Procurement, Quotation, Art, Warehouse Logistics, Customer Service, and Accounting teams. 
• Coordinate inventory planning and product availability for customer programs. 
• Ensure alignment between customer demand forecasts and operational capabilities. 
• Facilitate communication between departments to resolve issues and maintain project timelines.

Process Improvement

• Develop standardized tools, procedures, and best practices for project management. 
• Lead continuous improvement initiatives to enhance customer satisfaction and operational efficiency. 
• Analyze data and trends to identify opportunities for process optimization. 
• Recommend and implement solutions that support company growth objectives.

Leadership and Strategic Support

• Support senior sales leadership with strategic initiatives and special projects. 
• Prepare presentations, business reviews, and executive summaries. 
• Mentor sales team members on project management best practices when appropriate. 
• Promote a culture of accountability, collaboration, and customer focus.

QualificationsRequired

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Marketing, Project Management, or related field. Equivalent combination of education and relevant experience may be considered.
• 5+ years of experience in sales operations, project management, program management, account management, or related roles. 
• Proven experience managing complex customer programs and cross-functional projects. 
• Experience using CRM systems, ERP platforms, and Microsoft Office applications.

Preferred

• Experience in flexible packaging, packaging distribution, manufacturing, industrial products, or B2B sales environments strongly preferred. 

Work Environment/Physical Requirements

Physical Requirements

• Prolonged periods of sitting while working at a computer and attending meetings.
• Frequent use of hands and fingers for computer keyboard operation and document handling.
• Ability to communicate clearly in person, by telephone, and through electronic communications.
• Occasional standing, walking, bending, and reaching.
• Ability to lift and carry items weighing up to 25 pounds occasionally.
• Vision abilities sufficient to perform computer work, review documents, and analyze reports.
• Ability to travel locally and occasionally overnight as required.

Working Conditions

• Primarily office-based with regular use of computers and communication technology.
• Periodic visits to warehouses, manufacturing facilities, supplier locations, and customer sites.
• Exposure to warehouse and industrial environments during site visits.
• May require occasional travel within California and other domestic locations.
• Standard business hours with flexibility to work additional hours when necessary to meet business demands, customer requirements, or project deadlines.
• Fast-paced environment requiring the ability to manage multiple competing priorities.
