Chambersburg, PA 17201 Position Type: Contract – 2 Months Contract End Date: November 30, 2026 Schedule: Monday–Friday, 6:00 AM–3:00 PM | Rotational Saturdays, 6:00 AM–12:00 PM | 40 hours/week

Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Phlebotomist II / Patient Services Representative II (PSR II) to join our team in Chambersburg, PA. The PSR II serves as the face of the company to patients and is responsible for performing high-quality blood collections, preparing specimens for laboratory testing, and ensuring an exceptional patient experience. The ideal candidate will have strong phlebotomy skills, including pediatric, geriatric, and capillary collections, and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform routine and challenging venipuncture and capillary blood collections accurately and safely.
• Perform clinical and forensic specimen collection and processing according to established procedures.
• Verify patient demographic information and initials prior to specimen collection.
• Obtain patient signatures after venipuncture to verify that specimens were labeled correctly and in the patient's presence.
• Properly collect, label, handle, and prepare specimens while maintaining specimen integrity.
• Maintain accurate records, documentation, and patient information.
• Follow all established safety, infection-control, confidentiality, and compliance procedures.
• Provide patients with clear explanations of collection procedures and create a comfortable, professional experience.
• Demonstrate excellent customer service and maintain a positive image with patients, clients, employees, and the public.
• Perform daily activities accurately and within established timelines under the direction of the area supervisor.
• Work independently with minimal onsite supervision while exercising sound judgment.
• Handle multiple priorities effectively in a high-volume environment.
• Travel between multiple Patient Service Centers and/or in-office phlebotomy locations as business needs require.
• Remain flexible to support weekends, holidays, on-call coverage, overtime, and short-notice staffing needs.
• Complete training at designated locations based on trainer availability.

Required Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum 3 years of phlebotomy experience.
• Experience performing: Pediatric collections, Geriatric collections, Capillary collections, Venipuncture.
• Ability to provide high-quality, error-free work in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Ability to make decisions based on established procedures and demonstrate good judgment.
• Strong organizational and time-management skills.
• Keyboarding and data-entry experience.
• Ability to handle multiple priorities in a high-volume setting.
• Reliable transportation and a valid driver's license with a clean driving record, when applicable.
• Flexibility to work multiple locations and cover staffing needs with minimal notice.

Preferred Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of experience in a Patient Service Center (PSC) environment.
• Medical Assistant or Paramedic training.
• Phlebotomy certification.
