Registered Nurse - ICU

Job Description

Job Summary:

Seeking an experienced ICU RN to provide critical care in a hospital setting. The nurse will be responsible for managing ventilators, drips, IABP, and post-cardiac cath care to ensure patient stability and safety.

Responsibilities:

• Administer and monitor ventilator support and drip medications for critically ill patients.
• Manage equipment such as IABP and provide post-cardiac cath care.
• Assess patient conditions continuously and respond to changes promptly.
• Collaborate with healthcare team to develop and implement care plans.
• Document patient care accurately in Meditech Expanse EMR system.
• Float within hospital or to nearby affiliate hospitals as needed.

Qualifications:

• Active Alabama or Compact RN license required.
• Possess BLS and ACLS certifications.
• Minimum 1-2 years of ICU experience, including ventilator and drip management.
• Demonstrate familiarity with Meditech Expanse EMR system.
• Previous travel experience preferred but not mandatory.
• Ability to work night shifts (7:00 PM - 7:00 AM) and adhere to applicable compliance rules.
