CT TechnologistJob Title: CT Technologist (Computed Tomography)Profession: CT Technologist (Computed Tomography) (Imaging Services)Duration: 13 weeksShift: Nights, Monday-ThursdayHours per Shift: 10 hours (9 PM - 7 AM)Experience: Minimum of 1 yearLicense: Required Certifications: BLS (AHA or ARC) Certified CT Technologist - ARRT (CT) Certified Radiologic Technologist - ARRT (R)Must-Have: Experience with both CT and X-ray imaging Comfortable performing basic general scans Familiarity with protocol books and doctor preferencesDescription: General certification requirements include BLS. ARRT registry for the modality is required. Experience with the department's equipment is preferred. Common types of imaging studies performed include ER, inpatient, outpatient, including portables, trauma, and stroke certified exams. No operating room procedures or fluoroscopy are conducted. Average number of scans conducted per day is variable, including 5-10 CT scans, 8-10 ultrasound scans, and 10-15 X-ray scans. Electronic medical records and PACS used include EPIC and McKesson/Change Healthcare PACS. Staffing includes a manager and a lead tech on each shift. Radiologists are available by call. IV starts are required for all outpatients, with training available for point-of-care testing. Weekend and holiday staffing may vary based on scheduling needs. No call or standby requirements are in place. There is no specific scrub color requirement for uniforms. Department orientation lasts 1-3 days and may be extended if necessary.
