The Role:

We are in search of our first product designer who will own all design responsibilities at Alta.

Responsibilities:

\n
• Craft beautiful, polished, and delightful user interfaces that build trust and showcase the power of our AI technology.
\n
• Conduct user research & experiments to understand user behaviors and motivations.
\n
• Find creative ways to ship high-quality work in a fast-paced, often ambiguous, resource-constrained startup environment. Manage multiple projects simultaneously.
\n
• Provide design assistance to marketing & social media roadmaps.
\n
• Stay updated with Alta community & apply feedback to designs.
\n

Requirements:

\n
• 4+ years of UX product design experience working on a consumer mobile-first product, ideally at an early stage startup.
\n
• Can both hack together prototypes quickly, as well as make pixel-perfect hifi designs.
\n
• Experience creating a design system. Expert proficiency in Figma.
\n
• Comprehensive understanding of user research.
\n
• Have touched brand design and spend time thinking about colors, textures, iconography, and how beautiful landing pages can tell a story & how high-end brands build their status.
\n
• Excited about productivity tools, shopping.
\n
• Familiar with AI tools and products, ideally worked on AI features.
\n

Nice to have:

\n
• Experience designing a consumer AI product & have thought deeply about related questions, such as how to design a product that makes users feel successful & listened to by the AI.
\n
• Experience with 3D or animation.
\n
• Experience with video content (Tiktok, Youtube, etc.)
\n
• Front-end coding skills, or use AI coding tools like Cursor or Claude
\n

• Company covered lunch and snacks
\n
• Competitive package ($175-250k base + Alta equity + healthcare benefits). The base amount is reflective of interview performance and years of experience.
