Welder

We are seeking a skilled welder to support steel fabrication by assembling and joining metal components using various welding techniques. This role is responsible for producing high-quality welds while maintaining safety, accuracy, and production efficiency in a manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

• Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and work orders to determine weld specifications.
• Perform welding using MIG, TIG, and stick welding processes as required.
• Prepare materials by cutting, grinding, and cleaning metal surfaces prior to welding.
• Position, align, and fit steel components prior to welding.
• Inspect finished welds to ensure they meet quality and safety standards.
• Operate hand tools, grinders, and fabrication equipment.
• Set up and maintain welding machines and equipment.
• Follow all safety procedures and proper PPE requirements.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area.

Essential Skills

• Previous welding experience required (structural or fabrication preferred).
• Ability to read blueprints and welding symbols.
• Experience with MIG, TIG, or Stick welding processes.
• Strong attention to detail and quality.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced production environment.
• Ability to lift and work in a physical environment.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Flux core welding experience.
• Familiarity with blueprint reading.
• Experience in steel fabrication.

Work Environment

The role is based in a steel fabrication shop environment with exposure to heat, noise, and heavy equipment. It requires standing, lifting, and repetitive motion throughout the shift. PPE is mandatory at all times.

Job Type & Location

This is a contract position based out of Pilot Point, TX.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $22.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
