Keep reading…A day in the life…Wondering what a day in the life of a CMA, LPN, or RN in Primary Care - Float at The Iowa Clinic might look like?Arrive at work in the morning – no night shifts here!Provide professional nursing services for patients of assigned physician(s) following established nursing practice standards and medical office procedures; Monday-Friday, standard clinic hours at our various Primary Care facilities: Urbandale, West Des Moines, Ankeny, Waukee, Johnston, Altoona, and Indianola!Conducts comprehensive assessments of patient's care needsRoom patients and take vitalsAssists provider(s) with patient triage, identifies nursing diagnoses or problem lists and formulates an initial plan of care based on assessment dataSpend enough time with your patients to listen to them and get to know themParticipate in a department potluck or team building activity over lunchVisit The Iowa Clinic intranet to see what volunteer opportunities are available to you this month and read what is happening around the clinicReturn patient calls and ensure all patients feel valued and cared forLeave in the evening – hooray for working standard clinic hours!This job might be for you if you have…A desire to find a meaningful, fulfilling and long term careerKnowledge of nursing techniques, procedures, medical diagnoses and treatmentsExceptional patient skillsThe ability to prepare and maintain recordsEffective communication skills (written and verbal)A positive and team-oriented attitudeAbility to assist providers in professional mannerRequired Licenses:Iowa RN license, CMA (AAMA) or LPN License required.Bonus points if…You love exceeding people's expectationsYou enjoy having fun where you workFinding meaningful connections is what you live forEnjoy making a little extra money through our Float Pool Premium (amount varied on license type).Know someone else who might be a great fit for this role?
