Commercial Electrician – Showboat Resort

Job Summary Responsible for installing, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing electrical systems throughout the resort to ensure a safe, reliable, and efficient environment for guests and employees.

Key Responsibilities

• Install, inspect, maintain, and repair commercial electrical systems and equipment.
• Troubleshoot electrical problems involving lighting, power distribution, motors, control panels, and emergency systems.
• Perform preventive maintenance on electrical equipment and building systems.
• Read and interpret blueprints, wiring diagrams, and electrical schematics.
• Install and replace electrical fixtures, outlets, switches, breakers, and panels.
• Ensure compliance with National Electrical Code (NEC), New Jersey electrical codes, and OSHA safety regulations.
• Respond promptly to emergency maintenance calls.
• Maintain accurate maintenance records and work orders.
• Coordinate with engineering, facilities, and other departments to complete projects with minimal disruption to guests.
• Other facilities repairs as directed by the Chief Engineer and/or General Manager.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• Journeyman Electrician or equivalent commercial electrical experience preferred.
• Experience in commercial, hotel, casino, or resort maintenance is an advantage.
• Knowledge of electrical distribution systems, generators, motors, and lighting controls.
• Ability to read electrical drawings and use testing equipment.
• Valid New Jersey driver's license may be required.

• Comfortable working indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions.
