HEAVY MOBILE EQUIPMENT MECHANIC

Summary You will serve as a HEAVY MOBILE EQUIPMENT MECHANIC in the Lifting & Handling Department (700), Deputy Lifting & Handling Dept (701), Crane Maintenance Division (730) of NORFOLK NAVAL SHIPYARD. Responsibilities You will find ways to correct defects when existing methods and procedures do not give desired results. You will adjust items and systems to assure proper operation of complete systems or vehicles. You will drive various types of government vehicles and operate various types of government equipment for maintenance purposes. You will make changes or modifications in accordance with specifications and guidelines.
