Supervisor, Reagent Manufacturing - 2nd Shift
Element Biosciences
Element Biosciences seeks a Manufacturing Supervisor to lead a second-shift reagent production team in San Diego. The role involves directing technicians on production execution, managing key performance indicators, and partnering with engineering and quality teams to optimize manufacturing operations.
Responsibilities
- Direct manufacturing technicians to achieve daily production goals and schedules
- Monitor and optimize shift key performance indicators and production efficiency
- Develop hiring plans and oversee contractor recruitment with management oversight
- Lead team training programs, on-the-job training, and professional development
- Collaborate with Process Engineering and Quality on troubleshooting and continuous improvement initiatives
Requirements
- Demonstrated experience supervising manufacturing or production teams
- Strong problem-solving and continuous improvement mindset
- Knowledge of quality systems, compliance, and safety standards
- Experience with hiring, performance management, and team development
- Ability to lead diverse teams and work cross-functionally
- Familiarity with genomics, reagent manufacturing, or life sciences preferred
