Job Overview
This is a 6-9 month contract position with the potential to transition into a permanent role for the right candidate. You'll be working onsite five days a week, contributing to projects that make a real impact in the medical field.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum of 6 years of hands-on embedded software development experience.
- Proficient in developing embedded software for medical devices in compliance with FDA/ISO regulations, including IEC 62304.
- Experience in migrating ARM legacy code to new ARM Boards, creating bootloaders, application code, and developing device drivers.
- Proficiency in RTOS (CMX, ThreadX, or similar) and multi-threaded applications.
- Strong programming skills in C and C++ targeting embedded modules.
- Experience with communication protocols such as CAN, Ethernet, SPI, UART, I2C, Clients, and DAC's.
- Strong debugging skills at component-level designs on the PCBA or within an integrated product.
- Proficient in using lab equipment like logic analyzers, in-circuit emulators, oscilloscopes, and DVMs for debugging and troubleshooting designs.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently while collaborating with subject matter experts to meet project schedules and milestones.
- Capability to manage multiple projects with prioritizations aligned with project deliverables.
Preferences
- Understanding of Software Development Lifecycle Management (SDLC).
- Experience with simulation and debug tools such as CANoe, Lauterbach.
- Experience with waveform generation, transducer signal sampling, motor control, and other electromechanical control.
- Familiarity with static analysis, unit testing, and other tools/methods.
- Experience using Git and Azure DevOps.
- Experience working in a Continuous Integration (CI) environment.
- Proficiency in Python for general-purpose scripting.
- Good interpersonal and communication skills.
