Registered Nurse ICU

ICU Nurse Position

Provide specialized nursing care to critically ill patients in the Surgical Intensive Care Unit. Collaborate with medical teams to implement treatment plans and monitor patient status continuously.

Responsibilities:

• Administer advanced nursing interventions for ICU patients, including post-surgical, trauma, and high-acuity cases.
• Monitor and interpret vital signs, laboratory data, and use advanced equipment such as balloon pumps, CRRT, ECMO, and hypothermia devices.
• Document patient care activities accurately in the medical record system and communicate effectively with interdisciplinary teams.
• Respond promptly to emergency situations, including code blue events, and provide lifesaving interventions.
• Educate patients and families on treatment plans, procedures, and post-discharge care.
• Adhere to all hospital policies, unit guidelines, and safety protocols to ensure high-quality patient care.

Qualifications:

• Current RN license with at least 2 years of recent ICU experience in a hospital setting.
• Must have ACLS and BLS certifications; NIH and TNCC preferred.
• Demonstrate proficiency in managing trauma, post-CABG, post-TAVR, and general surgical ICU patients.
• Possess experience working with advanced ICU equipment and technology.
• Strong organizational, efficient, and positive attitude with a drive for excellence.
