Trauma Care Professionals, PLLC is seeking two Staff Therapists to join our growing trauma-focused clinical practice. This position is open to recently graduated and licensed LPCs, LSWs, and AMFTs , as well as graduate-level clinical interns through approved school placements. Fully licensed part-time clinicians are also welcomed.

This is an excellent opportunity for early-career clinicians who want to develop strong trauma-treatment skills in a supportive, highly specialized practice environment. Supervision, training, consultation, and opportunities for clinical growth will be provided.

This is a W-2 position for licensed clinicians seeking full licensure, or a school-approved unpaid position for clinical interns.

The position is located in our state-of-the-art practice in Ravenswood, Chicago , with parking available. The role is hybrid, with approximately 50% of work completed in the office .

Trauma Care Professionals is a trauma-focused therapy practice that integrates evidence-based psychotherapy with nervous system-informed approaches. Our work emphasizes clinical depth, careful assessment, individualized treatment planning, nervous system regulation, and the use of multiple trauma treatment modalities.

Clinicians in the practice may have opportunities to learn approaches such as Trauma-informed CBT, CPT, EMDR, IFS, DBR, somatic and regulation-focused interventions, exposure-based approaches, and neurofeedback/neuromodulation -informed care.

We are especially interested in clinicians who are curious, grounded, clinically thoughtful, and motivated to become highly skilled in trauma-focused treatment.

Position Overview

The Staff Therapist/Clinical Intern will provide therapy services to clients under supervision and within their scope of training and licensure.

The ideal candidate is someone who wants to grow into a trauma-focused clinician and is willing to learn multiple approaches to trauma treatment. Prior trauma experience is helpful but not required for full-time associate-level clinicians.

Full-time candidates are preferred. Part-time candidates may be considered if they are fully licensed and bring established trauma or specialty training or related clinical expertise.

Responsibilities

Responsibilities may include:

Providing individual, group, and/or family/couples therapy to assigned clients
Completing clinical documentation in a timely and professional manner
Maintaining completed progress notes as a condition of session-based compensation
Participating in supervision, consultation, and training
Developing competency in trauma-focused assessment and treatment planning
Learning and applying evidence-based trauma treatment modalities
Supporting clients with emotional regulation, trauma processing, dissociation, anxiety, depression, obsessions, attachment wounds, relational concerns, and other clinical concerns within the clinician’s scope of training, supervision, and competence
Providing affirming, culturally responsive care to clients across diverse identities and lived experiences
Maintaining ethical, professional, and client-centered care
Collaborating with the clinical team as needed
Participating in ongoing professional development within the practice
Working toward maintaining a consistent clinical caseload

Required Qualifications

Applicants must meet one of the following:

Recently graduated and licensed LPC, LSW, or AMFT seeking a full-time associate-level position
Fully licensed clinician seeking a part-time position and bringing established trauma or specialty training
Current graduate-level clinical intern eligible to provide clinical services through an approved school placement

Candidates must also be:

Willing to work one weekend day, as needed, to support caseload development and client access
Available for evening hours, as needed, to maintain a full caseload
Available for a hybrid schedule , with approximately 50% of hours in the office for associate clinicians
Open to ongoing supervision, consultation, and feedback
Interested in trauma-focused clinical work
Willing to learn multiple trauma treatment modalities
Reliable, professional, and clinically curious
Committed to ethical, affirming, and compassionate care
Interested in making a longer-term investment in the practice and their own clinical development

Preferred Qualifications

Preferred but not required:

Interest in neurofeedback, neuromodulation, psychophysiology, or nervous system regulation
Interest in acute trauma, dissociation, attachment trauma, developmental trauma, intursions/obsessions, anxiety disorders, or nervous system dysregulation
Experience providing affirming care to LGBTQ+ clients
Experience working with diverse clients providing culturally responsive clinical care
Prior experience with trauma-focused care, crisis work, community mental health, or intensive clinical settings
Interest in learning Trauma-informed CBT, CPT, EMDR, IFS, DBR, NET, exposure-based approaches, somatic approaches, neurofeedback, or related trauma treatments
Comfort working with clients who present with complex emotional and relational patterns
Strong writing and documentation skills
Interest in building a long-term specialty within a trauma-focused clinical practice

Training and Supervision

Clinical supervision will be provided for associate-level clinicians working toward independent licensure. Additional training will be offered in trauma-focused treatment approaches used within the practice.

Candidates do not need to already be trained in each specific modality. A strong willingness to learn, receive feedback, and grow clinically is more important than prior specialization.

Because the practice invests substantially in supervision, training, credentialing, clinical consultation, and caseload development, we are seeking candidates interested in making a minimum two-year professional commitment .

Compensation and Advancement

This is a W-2 position with transparent, session-based compensation.

Starting compensation is $50 - $55 per completed client session , based on training and experience. Payment for sessions requires a completed clinical note by a specified deadline.

Clinicians may be considered for increased compensation as they develop additional clinical competencies, including completion of training in specific trauma-treatment modalities, demonstrated use of those modalities in clinical practice, quality documentation, ethical practice, and demonstrated clinical competence.

Compensation growth is based on training, clinical development, demonstrated competence, documentation quality, and fit with practice needs.

Health Stipend and CEU Support

Full-time clinicians are eligible for a $300 monthly health stipend during months in which they average at least 25 completed client visits per week .

Full-time clinicians are also eligible for a $500 annual CEU stipend to support ongoing professional development and specialty training.

Part-time positions may be available but are not eligible for the health stipend or CEU stipend.

Schedule and Location

This is a hybrid position requiring approximately 50% in-office work at our Ravenswood, Chicago office. Parking is available.

Scheduling is flexible; however, clinicians must be available during evening hours and on one weekend day, as needed, to support client access and maintain a full caseload.

Full-time clinicians should be prepared to work toward a full-time caseload of approximately 30 client-hours per week .
