Warehouse Supervisor

Warehouse SupervisorResponsible for the management of the warehouse/materials distribution department during shift while ensuring a safe, secure, organized and efficient operation. In collaboration with multiple support departments, the supervisor is responsible for ensuring and maintaining an environment that provides for the efficient and effective flow of their respective departments.ResponsibilitiesMaintains day-to-day communications with department supervisors and managersInitiates communication and problem solving with regard to customer concernsAssists in recruiting new employees, administration of HR policies and procedures including safety, performance evaluations, employee training & developmentTrain new hires & existing employees on all warehouse functions, including the enforcement of safety procedures in accordance with company policies & proceduresKeeps management informed of all operational issuesPrioritize, schedule and delegates assignments to staff and monitors progressEnsure quality and productivity standards are being met by staffEnsure proper maintenance and usage of all equipment and suppliesCompiles weekly and monthly statistical data to be used by Manager for reportingManage budget and control expenses effectivelyAssists with staff payroll, site billing, and service enhancementsPerforms other duties as assignedMay perform any of the following functionsHandle hazardous materialsPrepare manifests for departing shipments. Review and sign off on all outgoing manifests and equipment departingMonitor & oversee the time-sensitive and accurate sequencing, picking, shipping & or receiving of all merchandise & materials, including ensuring the quality of all inbound & outbound productsResponsible for development/monitoring of KPI's & implementing continuous improvement opportunitiesCommunicates with manager, customer and suppliers concerning load & material issues & status, serving as liaison to communicate load, plant, routing issues or concerns between employees at facility & customer & or supplierReceives items within CBPS's receiving procedures and shipping proceduresPerforms material receiving accuracy checkMaintains inventory controls by collecting stock location orders, printing request, recording amounts of materials or items received or distributed through a computer. May also assist in counting of physical inventoryMaintain a safe and clean warehouse environmentQualificationsHS Diploma or GED requiredMinimum 7 years' experience working in a warehouse or distribution related fieldMinimum 5 years supervisory experience within a warehouse or distribution related fieldComputer literate and working knowledge of Windows based programsExperience using Microsoft Excel creating charts, reports, and spreadsheetsERP/WMS Systems Working Knowledge Experience RequiredAbility to prioritize and multitaskAbility to work well in teamsAbility to thrive in a fast-paced environmentExcellent written and verbal communication skillsForklift certification per OSHA standards preferredMust be willing to work flexible hours if needed including evenings and weekendsPhysical DemandsOccasionally lifting and/or moving of up to 50 lbs., repetitive motion, walking, or operating equipmentOccasionally reaching, pushing, pulling carts weighing up to 250lbsWhat We Offer:Competitive pay & benefits!Comprehensive training and development programs that prepare employees to advance from within.A company focused on creating a positive work and client environment.Employee discounts on entertainment, products, and services nationwide!Come Join Our Team!
