Remote Tax Preparer -Polished Talent Group Department: Tax & Finance Employment Type: Seasonal - Part Time Location: Remote - USA Reporting To: Ebonie Graves Description Polished Talent Group is seeking Remote Tax Preparers to assist clients with preparing individual federal and state income tax returns. This position may be performed on a full-time or part-time basis. Prior tax preparation experience is preferred but not required. Candidates must meet applicable requirements for paid tax return preparers before preparing client returns. Prepare individual federal and state income tax returns Review client-provided tax documents for completeness Enter tax information accurately into tax preparation software Communicate with clients regarding required documentation Review completed returns for accuracy Maintain accurate client records Protect confidential taxpayer and financial information Follow applicable IRS requirements and due diligence procedures Provide professional and responsive client service Meet applicable filing and client service deadlines Tax preparation experience preferred but not required Strong attention to detail Professional communication skills Basic computer proficiency Ability to work independently Strong organizational and time-management skills Ability to handle confidential information appropriately Customer service experience preferred Candidates must have a valid IRS Preparer Tax Identification Number (PTIN) or be willing and eligible to obtain one before preparing tax returns for compensation. Candidates must have: A reliable computer or laptop Reliable internet access A private workspace appropriate for handling confidential client information Tax preparation training, tax software access, reference materials, and procedural support are provided. Candidates without prior tax preparation experience must complete required training before preparing client returns. This is a commission-based position. Compensation is based on completed tax preparation services. Compensation details and payment procedures will be provided to candidates during the interview process.
