Contract | 13-Week Assignment | Full-Time | Onsite | Night Shift (7:00 PM – 7:30 AM) | 36 Hours Per Week | Every Other Weekend and Every Other Holiday Required

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in a Neuro Critical Care ICU setting, managing a patient population that includes stroke, TBI, head injury, and neurosurgery cases
• Perform thorough neurological assessments and basic bedside ICU procedures including line placement and intubation
• Assist with neuro-specific bedside procedures such as bolt and drain placements in collaboration with neurosurgery
• Float between Neuro Critical Care ICU and Med/Surg ICU units, with possible float to other critical care and inpatient units as needed
• Document all patient care accurately and in a timely manner using EPIC electronic health records
• Work independently, manage tasks efficiently, and adapt to a dynamic and changing clinical environment

Required Qualifications

• Active Wisconsin Registered Nurse (RN) license
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications through AHA or ARC
• Current NIHSS certification
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in Med/Surg ICU and/or Neuro ICU with strong neuro assessment skills
• Proficiency with EPIC electronic health records
• Familiarity with EVDs (External Ventricular Drains) and ICP monitoring

Preferred Experience / Skills

• At least 1 prior travel nursing assignment
• Experience as a Neuro Interventionalist
• Demonstrated ability to work independently, manage change effectively, and collaborate well within a team environment
