SUMMARY

The primary focus of a HVAC Technician is to assist Full Time Technicians with the installation, services, and repairs of HVAC equipment and components ranging from wall air conditioner to commercial walk-in coolers. This is a seasonal position, reporting to the HVAC Maintenance Manager.

Hours of operation for the summer are currently Sunday through Thursday 12pm to 8pm and Friday through Saturday 12pm to 9pm. Shifts for this position may start before operational hours or end after operational hours with evening and weekend hours required.


RESPONSIBILITIES

• Assist with the installation of HVAC equipment and components, such as commercial restaurant appliances, commercial heating or cooling systems, household appliances, and household heating or cooling systems
• Assist with investigating problems, troubleshooting, and performing repairs on various mechanical and electrical equipment in heating, cooling, and ventilation systems
• Assist with preventative maintenance on various mechanical and electrical equipment in heating, cooling, and ventilation systems and cooling systems
• Check and change air filters on a regular basis
• Perform cleaning duties at workstation to maintain a clean safe work area

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE

• HVAC/R technical experience preferred
• Thorough analytical skills and attention to detail with the ability to read electrical schematics, plans, and manuals
