Aurora Wellness is seeking a New York Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) to join our growing outpatient behavioral health practice.

This is a 100% remote, flexible part-time psychotherapy position for an LCSW who wants to build a consistent outpatient caseload without the administrative burden of operating a private practice.

Aurora provides patient referrals, insurance credentialing, billing support, malpractice coverage, a modern EHR, clinical support, and practice infrastructure—allowing you to focus on providing excellent therapy.

• Location: 100% Remote – New York
• Employment: Part-Time
• Compensation: $70 per completed therapy session/hour
• Clinical Focus: Individual outpatient psychotherapy
• Patient Referrals: Aurora-supported patient acquisition plus internal referrals from our psychiatry and interventional psychiatry programs
• Administrative Support: Credentialing, billing, patient acquisition, scheduling infrastructure, and EHR provided
• Additional Support: Malpractice coverage, clinical support, and eligible licensing reimbursement

Compensation & Scheduling

LCSWs are compensated $70 per completed therapy session/hour .

You choose your availability and can build a recurring caseload around your existing professional and personal commitments.

This position can be a strong fit for therapists looking to supplement an existing role, expand their outpatient clinical work, or develop a consistent part-time caseload without taking on the administrative responsibilities of private practice.

You won't need to build a private practice from scratch or independently manage the administrative side of insurance-based care.

Built-In Psychiatry & Spravato® Referral Network

One of the advantages of practicing at Aurora is the opportunity to work within an integrated behavioral health organization.

In addition to Aurora's broader patient acquisition efforts, therapists may receive internal referrals directly from our psychiatrists, psychiatric nurse practitioners, and interventional psychiatry programs.

This includes opportunities to provide psychotherapy to patients receiving Spravato® (esketamine) treatment for treatment-resistant depression when clinically appropriate.

Our integrated model allows therapists and psychiatric providers to collaborate around patients who benefit from both psychotherapy and psychiatric treatment.

Responsibilities

• Provide individual psychotherapy to adult patients through secure telehealth
• Conduct clinical assessments and develop individualized treatment plans
• Establish and maintain longitudinal therapeutic relationships
• Utilize evidence-based, patient-centered psychotherapy approaches
• Monitor symptoms, treatment progress, and clinical outcomes
• Update treatment plans as clinically appropriate
• Provide appropriate psychoeducation and therapeutic interventions
• Identify changes in clinical acuity and coordinate higher levels of care when necessary
• Collaborate with psychiatrists, psychiatric nurse practitioners, and other behavioral health professionals when clinically appropriate
• Coordinate care with outside providers when appropriate
• Complete accurate and timely clinical documentation within the EHR
• Maintain compliance with applicable ethical, clinical, payer, HIPAA, and professional standards

• Mood disorders
• Emotional regulation
• Relationship and interpersonal challenges
• Life transitions
• Other appropriate outpatient behavioral health concerns

Requirements

• Master's degree or higher in Social Work from an accredited program
• Active, unrestricted New York LCSW license
• Current registration and ability to practice psychotherapy in New York
• Experience providing individual psychotherapy
• Strong clinical assessment and treatment-planning skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Commitment to evidence-based, patient-centered behavioral healthcare
• Ability to maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation
• Ability to practice independently while collaborating with a multidisciplinary behavioral health team
• Reliable high-speed internet connection
• Private, professional workspace appropriate for telehealth

Preferred Qualifications

• Adult outpatient psychotherapy experience
• Experience with CBT, DBT, trauma-informed care, or other evidence-based modalities
• Teletherapy or telehealth experience
• Experience treating depression and anxiety disorders
• Experience working collaboratively with psychiatric prescribers
• Experience working with commercially insured patients
• Familiarity with electronic health record systems
• Interest in integrated behavioral healthcare
• Interest in working with patients receiving interventional psychiatric treatment
