Emergency Department - 841 Location: Syracuse, NY. Role Summary Registered Nurse (RN) – Clinical, Full‑Time (36 hrs/week). The position rotates 12-hour shifts across day, evening, and night, including weekends and holidays. Pay and Benefits Pay Range: $39.00 – $50.00 per hour. Sign-on bonuses: $10,000 for experienced RNs, $5,000 for newly graduated RNs. Responsibilities Provide professional judgment and knowledge per the Crouse Hospital Professional Nursing Practice Model. Carry out duties and responsibilities per legal requirements under the Registered Nurse Scope of Practice, with emphasis on leading a culture of safe care. Responsible for all activities requiring assessment, planning, diagnosing, evaluating, judgment, problem solving, creating, and implementing the plan of care. Provide appropriate education to patients and families to promote health, facilitate rehabilitation, and maintain wellness. Evaluate effectiveness and revise as appropriate. Monitor and evaluate patient responses to treatment or plan of care during hospital stay. Utilize and engage in evidence-based practice to deliver quality patient care. Demonstrate characteristics and skills that promote critical thinking in clinical problem-solving situations. Requirements Current Registered Nurse (RN) license. Graduate from an accredited nursing degree program. (Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing preferred.) For RNs licensed in or after 2017, completion of a Bachelor’s of Nursing Degree required within 8 years of the date the license was obtained. If hired as a Graduate Nurse, a NYS limited licensure work permit must be obtained within 90 days of graduation and the GN must pass the NCLEX exam within 120 days of the beginning of employment.
