You will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining scalable data pipelines, ensuring data quality, and enabling data-driven decision-making that accelerates our research and development mission. Working at the intersection of cutting-edge technology and life-changing science, you will collaborate closely with data scientists, researchers, and IT professionals to deliver solutions that matter.Key Responsibilities:Data Pipeline Development: Design, develop, and maintain robust and scalable data pipelines supporting Foundational Data Products (CoreReg, Substance Mart, DARE, and Asset Mart)Data Integration: Integrate data from diverse sources, ensuring consistency, quality, and accessibility across platformsData Management: Implement best practices in data governance, data quality, and data securityCollaboration: Partner closely with data scientists, researchers, and cross-functional stakeholders to understand data requirements and deliver impactful solutionsPerformance Optimization: Optimize data processing workflows for performance and scalabilityDocumentation: Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for data pipelines, data models, and integration processesTroubleshooting: Proactively identify and resolve data-related issues, ensuring reliability and accuracyInnovation: Stay current with the latest technologies and best practices in data engineering and apply them to continuously improve processesQualifications & Experience:Required:Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related fieldMinimum of 5–7 years of experience in data engineering or a related roleProficiency in Databricks with a strong focus on data engineeringStrong SQL skills and experience with relational databasesProficiency in programming languages such as Python, Java, or ScalaFamiliarity with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP)Experience with data warehousing and data lakehouse solutions (e.g., Redshift, BigQuery, Snowflake)Experience with ETL tools (e.g., Glue Studio, Informatica PowerCenter)Excellent problem-solving and communication skills; ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environmentPreferred:Experience with data visualization tools (e.g., Spotfire, Tableau, Power BI)Knowledge of machine learning and data science conceptsExperience with regulatory compliance and data privacy standardsUnderstanding of the pharmaceutical or healthcare industryIf you come across a role that intrigues you but doesn't perfectly line up with your resume, we encourage you to apply anyway. Additional incentive cash and stock opportunities (based on eligibility) may be available. The starting pay rate takes into account characteristics of the job, such as required skills, where the job is performed, the employee's work schedule, job-related knowledge, and experience.
