Make a meaningful impact by supporting students as a full time Special Education Teacher in a supportive school environment near Pottstown, PA. This contract position runs from August 19th through June 3rd, with daily hours of 7:45 am to 3:30 pm. Two openings are available—one at the middle school level and one at high school—giving you the opportunity to put your strengths and experience into practice in a setting that fits your interests.
Required Qualifications:
- Current, active Special Education Teacher certification for Pennsylvania (PA SPED cert)
- Up-to-date Pennsylvania clearances to work in educational settings
- Prior experience teaching or supporting students with disabilities in a school environment preferred
- Ability to provide instruction and develop IEPs tailored to individual student needs
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Dedication to collaborating with general education teachers, staff, families, and related service providers
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver instruction and make appropriate adaptations for students with diverse needs
- Develop, implement, and monitor IEPs, working closely with academic teams and families
- Maintain accurate documentation and comply with federal, state, and district requirements
- Foster a positive, inclusive classroom culture that promotes student growth and independence
- Participate in required meetings, trainings, and professional development
- Provide behavioral and academic supports as needed
