Clinical Dietitian

Clinical Dietitian- PRN/Flexible - Waco, TX

Rehab Without Walls Neuro Rehabilitation is seeking a Clinical Dietitian with at least 2+ years of experience for a consistent, flexible PRN role. The ideal candidate will have experience evaluating and providing personalized nutrition support to patients with neurological injuries, such as TBI/CVA. Responsibilities include educating patients and families on dietary needs, restrictions, and healthy choices to support long-term health, and collaborating within a multidisciplinary team to deliver patient-centered nutritional care.

Responsibilities include:

• Providing professional nutritional services in compliance with state practice act(s)/professional standards to meet the individual needs of patients
• Interviewing patients and assessing/evaluating their nutritional status
• Conferring with the patient's physician to establish dietary treatments/requirements
• Providing guidance/assistance/explanations to patients and family members to help them understand, accept, and follow dietary modifications ordered by the physician
• Observing patients' responses to dietary treatment, noting changes in their condition and advising physicians/Nurse Supervisors and/or Clinical Coordinators
• Ensuring the confidentiality of patients' files and documentation
• Maintaining/enhancing clinical practice skills by attending, participating in/conducting staff development/continuing education programs
• Participating in quality assessment and improvement activities as assigned
• Maintaining the highest standards of professional conduct in relation to confidential information
• Adhering to and participating in Company's mandatory Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act privacy program/practices and Business Ethics and Compliance programs/practices
• Other duties as assigned

Qualifications include:

• Degree in Nutrition required, or the equivalent
• Current Registered Dietician licensure/certification in the state(s) of practice required by individual states(s)
• Minimum of six months related experience generally required
