Job Description

This position involves assembling components and finished products in a manufacturing environment, following work instructions, basic blueprints, and established quality standards. The Production Assembler supports overall production operations by performing efficient, accurate, and safe assembly tasks in a fast-paced setting.

Responsibilities

• Assemble components and products according to written work instructions and basic blueprints.
• Use hand tools and power tools to perform assembly tasks safely and efficiently.
• Follow standard operating procedures to maintain consistent quality and productivity.
• Inspect parts and assemblies for defects or deviations from quality standards and report issues as needed.
• Support production operations by moving materials, parts, and finished products as directed.
• Perform general labor tasks such as lifting, positioning, and securing parts during the assembly process.
• Work effectively on an assembly line and contribute to meeting daily production targets.
• Package finished products according to specifications to prepare them for shipping or storage.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area to support safety and efficiency.
• Follow all safety guidelines and use required personal protective equipment while working with tools and equipment.

Essential Skills

• Experience in manufacturing, production, or industrial environments.
• Hands-on experience with assembly work, including working on an assembly line.
• Ability to safely use hand tools and power tools for assembly tasks.
• Capability to perform general labor and physical tasks, including lifting and moving materials.
• Attention to detail to follow work instructions and basic blueprints accurately.
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining quality standards.
• Reliability and strong work ethic to support consistent production output.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Experience in roles such as retail, fast food, landscaping, construction, or other physically demanding work.
• Experience with packaging and preparing products for shipment.
• Basic machine operation experience in a production or industrial setting.
• Willingness to learn new processes, tools, and equipment as needed.
• Strong teamwork skills and the ability to follow direction from supervisors and leads.

Work Environment

This role is based in a manufacturing facility in Batesville, IN, working on an assembly line in a fast-paced production environment. You will regularly use hand tools, power tools, and basic machines to assemble and package products. The position involves standing for extended periods, performing repetitive motions, and lifting materials as part of general labor and assembly tasks. The facility operates on various shifts, and you will work according to an assigned schedule that supports continuous production operations. Safety procedures and proper use of personal protective equipment are emphasized to maintain a safe and efficient workplace.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Batesville, IN.

The pay range for this position is $18.50 - $20.35/hr.
