Your Role at a Glance

• Performing detailed patient evaluations, prescribing diagnostic procedures, and developing tailored care plans
• Identifying and managing acute, episodic, or chronic conditions either in partnership with physicians or autonomously depending on your qualifications
• Providing education to patients and families about preventive measures, wellness, and disease management
• Prescribing medications and therapeutic interventions within your scope of expertise
• Participating in patient follow-up initiatives and chronic care programs
• Working with multidisciplinary teams to assure continuity and comprehensive patient care
• Accurately documenting patient information within electronic medical records (EMR)

What You Will Need

• Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) or Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP)
• Graduation from an accredited Nurse Practitioner educational program

Essential Certifications

• Active Nurse Practitioner license in the state of Florida
• National certification as a Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP-C, AANP or ANCC) or relevant specialty credential
• Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications (or ability to acquire within 90 days)
