Ensures the integrity of accounting information by recording, verifying, consolidating, and entering transactions.**Essential Duties and Responsibilities:*** Prepare timely and accurate worksheets, financial statements and reports.* Assist in preparation of monthly management report and accompanying schedules, worksheets and narratives, including “Budget vs. Actual” variance reports.* Prepare and analyze financial statements and reports to include a variety of reasonably standard, periodic “intermediate” or “end products” such as cost reports, trial balances, balance sheets, profit-and-loss statements or statements of sourcing and application of funds.* Prepare appropriate commentary relating to report items of significance, and conducts pertinent investigation of the accounts involved.* Support the needs of the organization by understanding the roles, responsibilities and activities performed by organizational functions; understanding the interrelationship among organizational functions, and collaborating across functional and organizational lines.* Document policies, procedures and workflow for assigned areas of responsibility.* Update job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; reading professional publications; participating in professional organizations.* Special projects as assigned.**Qualifications:*** Basic understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and financial processes as well as Knowledge of Statutory accounting principles.* Accounting, analytical and problem solving skills.* Excellent verbal and written communication skills* Must be able to effectively handle multiple projects simultaneously in a deadline driven environment.* Detail oriented with a high sense of urgency and ability to work with minimal direct supervision.* Accuracy in financial reporting and calculations is required.* Ability to work with associates at all levels of the organization and other departments.**Supervisory Responsibility:*** None**Education and/or Experience:*** Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, or Accounting.* Minimum one to three years of experience in Accounting/Finance role.**Computer and Software Skills:*** Strong skill in operation of a personal computer, including Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Word, Google Mail, and Google Sheets.* Experience with computerized financial reporting systems.* Experience with SQL query type software.* Bankway general ledger experience a plus.**Additional Information:*** Extended hours may be required during quarter-end and other reporting cycles.***Equal Opportunity Statement:***Enterprise Bank & Trust is committed to helping individuals with disabilities participate in the workforce and ensuring equal opportunity to apply and compete for jobs.
