Job Description

Performing janitorial and material-handling tasks, including sweeping, debris removal, and operating equipment such as forklifts and saws to manage waste and recyclable materials.

Responsibilities

• Sweep floors in all work areas to remove dirt and debris and maintain a clean and safe environment.
• Gather sorted debris onto a shovel and transfer it into a wheelbarrow for removal.
• Push loaded wheelbarrows up ramps or across floor-level pathways to transport debris to trash hoppers.
• Operate a forklift to move and lift trash hoppers and dump their contents into the correct dumpsters.
• Cut large cardboard containers using a utility knife, hand saw, or power saw in a safe and controlled manner.

Essential Skills

• At least 2 years of janitorial or cleaning work experience in an industrial or similar environment.
• Proficiency in general janitorial duties, including sweeping, debris removal, and basic inspection of work areas.
• Experience using hand tools and power tools safely, including hand saws and power saws.
• Ability to operate or learn to operate a forklift to move and dump trash hoppers into dumpsters.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Previous experience operating a forklift is a strong plus.
• Experience using hand saws and power saws is a strong plus.
• Experience in an industrial, weld, or assembly shop environment is beneficial.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Spring City, PA.

The pay range for this position is $16.00 - $16.00/hr.
