Job Description

 As a Nurse Manager for our Progressive Care Unit, you'll drive clinical excellence while building a high-performing team that transforms patient care. In this pivotal leadership role, you'll combine strategic vision with hands-on clinical expertise to create an environment where innovation thrives and patients receive exceptional care.

• Lead and mentor a dynamic nursing team, fostering professional growth and clinical excellence while maintaining accountability for all aspects of patient care delivery
• Champion innovative care models and collaborative practice, empowering your team to implement creative solutions that improve patient outcomes
• Build strong partnerships with physicians, interdisciplinary teams, and leadership to ensure seamless, coordinated care for your patient populations
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives through a multidisciplinary team approach, leveraging quality management principles to enhance service excellence
• Steward fiscal resources strategically, ensuring operational efficiency while maintaining the highest standards of care
• Model professional excellence and inspire a culture of innovation, coaching staff to reach their full potential and advance their nursing careers

Qualifications

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

• Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing required.
• Master's Degree in Nursing, Business, Health Management or other related field preferred.
• ANCC recognized nursing specialty certification preferred.
• Minimum of 2 years of clinical experience in an acute care setting required.
• Demonstration of progressive nursing leadership in roles for example Charge Nurse, Assistant Clinical Manager, House Manager, Clinical Coordinator, Clinical Unit Leader and Chairperson of a Shared Governance Council/Committee or interdisciplinary team (not limited to these examples).
• Knowledge of quality management and service excellence.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong interpersonal skills that provide coaching and facilitation expertise.
• Excellent problem-solving skills.
• Demonstrates innovative, creative leadership style.

CERTIFICATIONS/LICENSURES :

• Current license to practice in the State of Michigan as a Registered Nurse.
• BCLS/ACLS certification as required per unit standards.
