Registered Nurse (RN)Location: City, StateUnit InformationMSICU: 40 bedsCVICU: 10 beds (no specific experience required)PCU: 40 beds2R PCU Obs: 18 beds, can increase to 27 when open for overflowCCU: 30 bedsMedical: 89 bedsSurgical: 55 bedsFlex Unit: 9 beds (includes PCU and MS patients)Inpatient Rehab: 47 beds across two floorsER Holding Unit: For patients waiting on a bedCOVID Overflow: As neededExperience RequirementsICU: 2 years of ICU experiencePCU/PCU ER holds: 2 years of PCU experienceMedical-Surgical: 2 years in an acute care settingPatient Types / Common DiagnosesICU: Respiratory Failure, GI Bleeds, DKA, Sepsis, Complicated Post-operative Patients, CVA's, Flap Surgeries, Post-Arrest, ETOH, IVDANote: No craniotomies, major traumas, or major cardiothoracic cases accepted in ICU.PCU: Respiratory Compromise, Sepsis, Renal Failure, Bleeding Disorders, General Medical/Surgical Patients, CHF, COPD, Pneumonia, General and Ortho CasesMedical-Surgical: Oncology: Neutropenic, Post-op, Psychiatric Conditions, General Medical Surgical: Post-op, COPD, CHF, Sepsis, DVT, AKI, Dialysis, COVIDInpatient Rehab: Neuro: Stroke, Spinal Cord Injury, TBI, Multi-Trauma, Post-COVID, Post-ICU, Ventilator and Tracheostomy ManagementWork EnvironmentThe primary unit for this role is the ED Holding Unit, which involves a variety of diagnoses at a fast pace. Staff may care for ICU patients with a 1:2 RN-to-patient ratio, PCU patients at a 1:4 ratio, and medical-surgical patients at a 1:5 ratio.
