VP/ Finance FP&A

The Vice President of FP&A serves as a core member of the finance leadership team and a strategic partner to the CFO, responsible for enterprise-wide financial planning, forecasting, performance management, and decision support. This role partners closely with executive leadership to drive business performance, translate strategy into financial outcomes, and enable data-driven decision-making.The VP, FP&A leads the development of long-range plans, annual budgets, and rolling forecasts, while providing actionable insights on financial and operational performance. This role acts as a key advisor to the CFO and executive team on growth strategy, capital allocation, and financial risks and opportunities.Strategic Planning & Business PartnershipLead enterprise-wide financial planning processes, including long-range strategic planning, annual budgeting, and rolling forecastsPartner with executive leadership to translate strategic initiatives into financial plans and measurable outcomesProvide financial modeling and scenario analysis to support growth initiatives, investments, and operational decisionsServe as a key advisor on profitability, pricing strategy, and resource allocationPerformance Management & ReportingDevelop and oversee management reporting packages, including KPIs, dashboards, and variance analysisDeliver insights on financial and operational performance, identifying trends, risks, and opportunitiesDrive accountability across business units through performance reviews and financial transparencyEnhance reporting capabilities through automation and data visualization toolsForecasting & Financial ModelingBuild and maintain robust forecasting models to project revenue, expenses, cash flow, and profitabilityConduct scenario planning and sensitivity analysis to support decision-making under uncertaintyContinuously improve forecasting accuracy and planning processesCross-Functional LeadershipPartner with operations, sales, and other functional leaders to align financial plans with business driversLead and develop a high-performing FP&A team, fostering analytical rigor and strategic thinkingCollaborate with Accounting to ensure alignment between financial reporting and planning outputsCapital Allocation & Financial StrategySupport capital planning, investment analysis, and ROI evaluationProvide recommendations on capital deployment, cost optimization, and margin improvementEvaluate M&A opportunities, including financial modeling, due diligence support, and integration planningProcess Improvement & SystemsLead the evolution of FP&A tools, systems, and processes (e.g., planning systems, BI tools)Drive standardization, scalability, and efficiency in financial planning processesChampion data integrity and governance across financial datasetsLead enterprise-wide financial planning processes, including long-range strategic planning, annual budgeting, and rolling forecastsPartner with executive leadership to translate strategic initiatives into financial plans and measurable outcomesProvide financial modeling and scenario analysis to support growth initiatives, investments, and operational decisionsServe as a key advisor on profitability, pricing strategy, and resource allocationQualificationsBachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related fieldMBA or advanced degree preferredCPA, CFA, or CMA preferred12–15+ years of progressive finance experience, with significant focus in FP&A5–10+ years in leadership roles within financial planning or corporate financeExperience supporting executive-level decision-making in a mid-to-large organizationIndustry experience (e.g., distribution, healthcare, or relevant sector) preferredAdvanced financial modeling and analytical capabilitiesStrong business acumen with the ability to connect financial results to operational driversExecutive presence with excellent communication and storytelling skillsProven ability to influence cross-functional stakeholdersExperience with planning and analytics tools (e.g., Adaptive, Anaplan, Hyperion, Power BI)High level of intellectual curiosity, problem-solving ability, and attention to detailDemonstrated leadership capability with experience building and developing teamsStrong ethics and integrityAttention to detailExceptional interpersonal skills
