RN - ICU

Registered Nurse

Provides critical care to seriously ill patients in a hospital's intensive care unit. Monitors vital signs and administers medications. Performs complex procedures and responds rapidly to medical emergencies. Collaborates with the healthcare team to develop and implement individualized treatment plans. Staffing is typically 2:1 with rare instances of 3:1. Floats to take holds and may take medical-surgical patients at a 5:1 ratio. Weekends required: 5 weekend days out of six weeks.
