Join Our Team at The Joint Sushi & Tapas (Ocean Beach)

The Joint Sushi & Tapas is looking for an experienced Line Cook to join our kitchen team! We're a busy, locally owned restaurant serving sushi, tapas, fresh seafood, usda prime steaks, japanese wagyu blend burgers, and scratch-made dishes in the heart of Ocean Beach.

We're looking for someone who:

• Has experience working in a fast-paced, high-volume kitchen

• Has experience on the line, including sauté, grill, garde manger, seafood, burgers, and steaks

• Understands proper cooking temperatures and techniques, especially for steaks and seafood, and takes pride in executing every dish consistently

• Has high standards and exceptional attention to detail

• Takes pride in preparing every plate with consistency, accuracy, and care

• Understands that every plate represents our restaurant and that every guest deserves an exceptional experience

• Believes hospitality doesn't stop in the dining room—the kitchen plays a huge role in creating memorable guest experiences

• Works well under pressure while staying organized and maintaining quality

• Is dependable, punctual, and has reliable transportation

• Maintains a clean, organized, and food-safe workstation

• Is a positive team player with a great attitude and strong work ethic

• Is always looking to improve and takes pride in learning new skills

Experience in upscale casual or full-service restaurants is a plus. We value a positive attitude, strong work ethic, and a commitment to consistency just as much as experience.
