Global Talent Partners is proud to represent an exciting opportunity for an experienced veterinarian seeking a Medical Director position within a long-established AAHA-accredited companion animal hospital serving the Portland community.
This role offers the perfect balance of clinical medicine and leadership, giving you the opportunity to influence medical standards while continuing to practice high-quality veterinary medicine alongside a collaborative and experienced team.
The hospital has been serving pets and their families for decades and has built a loyal client base through compassionate care, personalised service and an unwavering commitment to clinical excellence. The team consists of experienced veterinarians, credentialed technicians, veterinary assistants and dedicated client service professionals who work together to provide outstanding patient outcomes.
The Hospital
This full-service small animal practice provides comprehensive care including:
• Preventative medicine
• Wellness examinations
• Vaccinations
• Digital diagnostics
• Comprehensive dental care
• Soft tissue surgery
• Internal medicine
• Dermatology
• Allergy management
• Nutritional consultations
• Fear Free handling techniques
• Preventative healthcare programmes
The hospital is AAHA accredited and places a strong emphasis on continuing education, evidence-based medicine and maintaining the highest standards of patient care.
The Role
As Medical Director you will:
• Provide clinical leadership across the veterinary team
• Support and mentor fellow veterinarians
• Maintain exceptional standards of medical care
• Work closely with hospital leadership on operational improvements
• Help recruit, develop and retain veterinary talent
• Continue building an outstanding culture centred around teamwork and patient care
This role offers genuine influence over the clinical direction of the hospital while still allowing plenty of time in the consulting room and surgery.
We're Looking For
• DVM or equivalent veterinary qualification
• Eligible for Oregon veterinary licensure
• Previous leadership experience preferred
• Passion for coaching and mentoring colleagues
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
