Lead Infant Teacher

The Sapling School is seeking a dedicated and nurturing Lead Infant Teacher to join our early childhood education team in Fair Lawn, NJ. In this role, you will provide a safe, stimulating, and loving environment for our infant students, supporting their developmental milestones through attentive care and engaging activities. Responsibilities Create and maintain a warm, welcoming, and secure classroom environment for infants. Develop and implement age-appropriate lesson plans and activities that promote physical, cognitive, and social development. Observe and document individual progress, communicating regularly with parents and caregivers. Maintain a clean and organized classroom that adheres to health and safety regulations. Collaborate with fellow teachers and staff to ensure consistency and quality in our infant program. Requirements Previous experience as an infant teacher or in early childhood education preferred. Knowledge of infant development and age-appropriate caregiving techniques. Strong communication skills and ability to build trusting relationships with families. First Aid and CPR certification is preferred or willingness to obtain. Reliable, patient, and compassionate with a passion for nurturing young children.
