About the job The Controller & FP&A Manager is responsible for leading the Company’s accounting and financial planning functions while also overseeing procurement planning, operational analytics, and process improvement initiatives.This role serves as a key business partner to executive management and is responsible for ensuring financial integrity, improving business processes, supporting strategic decision‑making, and strengthening planning and inventory management capabilities across the organization.The ideal candidate is a strong accounting and finance professional who remains hands‑on, embraces continuous learning, and thrives in an environment that values adaptability, business partnership, and technology adoption. The successful candidate should have an interest in leveraging AI tools, automation, and emerging technologies to improve efficiency, reporting, and decision‑making. What You’ll Do Accounting Prepare monthly/quarterly management reporting packages: P&L, balance sheet, and cash flow Lead all aspects of the monthly, quarterly, and annual financial close process. Oversee multi‑entity accounting and international financial reporting activities. Oversee inventory accounting and cost accounting activities. Ensure compliance with U.S. GAAP and company accounting policies. Coordinate annual audits and work with external auditors, tax advisors, and consultants. Design and implement scalable and efficient processes across accounting and operational functions. Oversee sales and use tax registrations and filings. Supervise and manage staffs globally Financial Planning & Procurement Build and maintain the annual budget process, working with CFO and Head of Sales Department to gather input and assumptions Analyze budget-to-actual and forecast-to-actual variances, identifying drivers such as volume, price, mix, and cost, rather than just flagging the delta Produce rolling forecasts (monthly/quarterly) and update them as actuals come in Support executive management with ad hoc analysis and special projects. Identify opportunities to improve profitability, efficiency, and working capital performance. Maintain KPI dashboards and track performance against targets Oversee demand planning, inventory planning, and procurement processes Serve as the primary backup for all planning and purchasing activities. Monitor customer forecasts, inventory levels, and supply risks. Review and approve purchasing recommendations and inventory strategies Supervise one Planner II personnel. Process Improvement & Business Transformation Evaluate existing business processes and identify opportunities for improvement. Support ERP implementation and business system enhancements. Standardize reporting and operational processes across global entities. Evaluate and implement AI tools and automation opportunities to improve accounting, reporting, planning, and operational processes. Demonstrate interest in automation, emerging technologies, and continuous learning. Champion continuous improvement initiatives and help build a culture of operational excellence. What we need Education Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required. CPA or MBA designation strongly preferred. Experience Minimum of 7-10 years of progressive accounting and finance experience. Prior experience within manufacturing, distribution, or inventory‑intensive industries strongly preferred. Experience managing multi‑entity accounting environments. Experience with international transactions and intercompany accounting. Experience with sales and use tax compliance and business registrations. Experience with budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis. Prior leadership and team management experience required. ERP implementation experience is strongly preferred. Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Strong understanding of U.S. GAAP and accounting principles. Strong financial statement and analytical capabilities. Advanced Microsoft Excel skills. Ability to synthesize information and communicate actionable business insights. Excellent organizational and project management skills. Strong communication and presentation skills. Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced environment. Hands‑on approach with a willingness to learn and adapt. Working knowledge of AI productivity tools such as ChatGPT, Microsoft Copilot, Claude, or similar technologies is strongly preferred.
