Lead Trial Attorney

Highlights

• 15% Fee- EARNED and paid 1/3,1/3,1/3
• 8-10 Year of Experience- At least 5 Jury Trials(first chair)
• Could come from Public Sector or Law Firm as long as they've lead trials (could have even lost - just need that experience)
• Team of 3 and probably bringing on another associate (Owner - Jamie our client, Jr Partner and an associate)
• In office 5 days- 9am-6pm
• $150-$175k base + 10% of all cases they work on + 25% of cases they bring in
• A well-established Florida litigation firm is seeking a highly experienced Lead Trial Attorney to serve as the right hand to the Managing Partner and take ownership of the firm's trial practice.
• The founder successfully led and managed a team of 30 attorneys for nearly two decades before launching his own firm three years ago. As the firm continues to grow, he is looking to transition away from handling jury trials personally and bring in a trial-focused attorney who thrives in the courtroom and wants to play a key leadership role in the firm's future.
• Ideal Background
• Former State Attorney, Public Defender, or experienced civil litigation attorney
• 8–10+ years of litigation experience
• Minimum of 5 first-chair jury trials
• Passion for courtroom advocacy and trial work
• Strong leadership skills with the ability to mentor and manage junior attorneys
• Business development mindset is a plus

Responsibilities

• Lead the firm's trial practice and serve as first-chair on jury trials
• Manage and mentor 1–2 associate attorneys
• Work directly with the Managing Partner on case strategy and firm growth
• Handle a sophisticated litigation caseload from inception through verdict
• Participate in client development and relationship management

Compensation

• 10% of fees generated from cases worked on
• 25% of fees generated from self-originated matters
• Potential equity/ownership opportunity (up to 10%) for the right candidate
• Additional Information
• Full-time, in-office position (Monday–Friday, 9:00 AM–6:00 PM)
• Growing team currently consisting of the Managing Partner, Junior Partner, Associate Attorney, and additional planned hires
• Interview process conducted directly with the Managing Partner
