Company: United Airlines Location: Houston, TX Employment Type: Full Time Work Hours : 8 Hours Salary: $20-30/hour Senior Developer – Overview As a Senior Programming Designer you will be responsible for improving and maintaining core applications while working within a team of engineers. Your role will include configuration, creation, recording, testing, and investigation of both new and existing applications, with a focus on cloud-based solutions. Responsibilities Take part in the full development life cycle including requirement analysis and planning. Act as a subject‑matter expert on development projects. Compose detailed documentation based on design specifications and business requirements. Support, troubleshoot, and maintain application functionality. Identify and evaluate new technologies for implementation. Debug code to identify causes of errors and refactor applications as needed. Participate in design meetings and analyze client requirements to establish project specifications. Collaborate with end users to model, refine, test, and troubleshoot projects. Remain current with emerging trends and industry best practices. Perform high‑complexity and critical work autonomously, exercising full judgment. Qualifications (Required) Four‑year degree or higher in Software Engineering, Computer Design, Electrical Design, Data‑Base Frameworks, or equivalent work experience. 5+ years of experience with design, development, maintenance, testing, and troubleshooting of new and existing application frameworks for new or enterprise‑level products. 5+ years of experience with .NET development languages and tools including C#, ASP.NET/MVC, Web API, WCF, MS Visual Studio, MS TFS, and GitHub. Solid knowledge of Microsoft .NET Framework, Microsoft SQL Server, NoSQL solutions, and configuration examples. Strong experience with ASP.NET MVC framework design and application development.
