Description

American Traveler seeks a Certified Surgical Technologist for an Operating Room position supporting ortho trauma, neuro, and robotic surgeries across multiple specialties.

Details

• Hospital Operating Room 001 unit
• 13-week assignment with 5/8's schedule, 06:30-15:00
• Ortho trauma and extensive neuro case coverage
• Robotics used across multiple surgical specialties
• Radical neck ENT experience needed at minimum
• Call coverage required
• Holiday coverage required

Requirements

• Minimum of 1 year of experience as a Surgical Technologist
• BLS certification from the American Heart Association
• Current license and primary source verification within 30 days prior to start (license required if applicable)
• Nursys verification required within 30 days prior to start
• Ability to work with minimal supervision in a high-stress environment
• Strong critical thinking skills and decisive judgment

Additional Information

• Assist surgeons by preparing the operating room and maintaining a sterile field during operations
• Perform pre-operative setup of sterile equipment and patient preparation
• Provide intra-operative support including passing instruments and assisting with tissue retraction
• Complete post-operative duties such as applying dressings and preparing specimens
• Coordinate care across disciplines to support well-coordinated patient outcomes
• Follow Standard Precautions and use personal protective equipment as required
• First-time travelers may be considered
• Local candidates accepted, subject to a radius rule that may affect pay rate
