About the Role:
An established manufacturing company is looking for a motivated Pump Mechanic Trainee to join our growing team in Midland, TX! This is a fantastic opportunity to launch your career in the pump and mechanical services industry, learning hands-on from experienced professionals in the heart of the Permian Basin.
Responsibilities:
- Responsible for the maintenance of pump machinery, including inspecting pumps, ensuring they are in working order, troubleshooting,m and other hands-on maintenance and repair work
- Working knowledge of pumps, small engines, changing oil, and servicing rental equipment
- Exhibit teamwork and excellent communication skills
- Support field service calls and on-site pump inspections across customer locations
- Repair, fabricate, install, and remove a variety of pumps as well as other related equipment
- Maintain tools, equipment, and work areas in a clean and organized manner
- Follow all safety protocols and procedures on job sites and in the shop
- Perform other duties as assigned
Requirements:
- 2 years of mechanical experience
- High school diploma or GED equivalent
- Ability to work in outdoor and industrial environments in varying weather conditions
- Valid driver's license
- Working together in a team environment
- Experience working in a manufacturing environment is a plus but not required
- Ability to lift 25 to 50 lbs
- Bilingual a plus
