Suppression Service Technician

Build your career with the industry-leading fire, life safety and security company.This position is responsible for the proper installation, operation, and maintenance of fire suppression systems (Pre-Engineered Kitchen and Paint Booth Systems). Responsibilities include inspecting, testing and performing system checks in accordance with fire code, identifying code and system deficiencies, and preparing accurate and timely inspection reports.Essential Duties & Responsibilities:Install or upgrade suppression systems in commercial and residential buildings.Test and repair systems already in place.Perform inspections to ensure suppression systems are installed according to code.Complete inspection reports, deficiency documentation, and service records accurately and on time.Communicate professionally with customers, team members, and supervisors regarding job progress and system status.Follow all company safety procedures and customer site requirements.Protect and maintain company equipment.Respond to emergency service calls.Travel to job sites as required.Other duties as assigned by management.Required Qualifications:High school diploma or equivalent.Experience with commercial and residential systemsTroubleshooting skills.Must have good interpersonal skills and be able to work in a team environment as well as work independently.Must have a clean driving record and reliable transportation to/from the office or job site.Must be flexible with scheduling requirements that occasionally will require evening, weekend and/or out-of-town assignments.Other Duties:Adheres to the Code of Conduct, Confidentiality Agreement, and Company Safety Policy.Performs other duties as assigned.Physical Requirements & Work Environment:Ability to perform physical tasks including lifting, climbing ladders, and working in various environments.Ability to lift 50+ pounds.Work performed in commercial, industrial, and construction environments.Exposure to varying conditions including heights, confined spaces, and active job sites.Use of hand tools and testing equipment.Ability to stand, walk, bend, and kneel for extended periods.Benefits and Perks:Excellent payMedical, dental, visionCompany paid life insuranceCompany paid short-term disability401K with employer matchPaid vacation and company holidaysTraining and Career DevelopmentCompany vehicle (if job applicable)Immediate qualification for the ALL In Ownership Plan for all eligible full-time employeesPye-Barker Fire & Safety is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
