Clinical Pharmacist, Oncology – Day Shift (8:00 AM–5:00 PM) | 13‑Week Contract with Extension & Direct‑Hire Potential

Schedule : Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM
Contract Length : 13 weeks, with strong potential for extension or transition to direct hire

Position Overview
RPh on the Go is seeking an experienced Clinical Pharmacist to support oncology pharmacy operations within a specialized clinic environment. This is an isolated pharmacy role requiring strong independent practice skills, deep oncology expertise, and proficiency with hazardous drug handling and sterile compounding. The ideal candidate is confident, detail‑oriented, and comfortable overseeing both clinical and operational pharmacy functions.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide oncology clinical pharmacy services, including review and management of oncology treatment plans.
• Perform order entry and verification within Epic.
• Collaborate with pharmacy technicians in the preparation of hazardous medications for compounding.
• Conduct double‑checks of technician work to ensure accuracy and compliance with safety standards.
• Oversee daily pharmacy operations, ensuring adherence to regulatory, safety, and clinical protocols.
• Support safe handling, preparation, and dispensing of chemotherapy and other hazardous drugs.
• Maintain sterile compounding standards in accordance with USP guidelines.

Required Qualifications

• Clinical oncology pharmacy experience.
• Oncology and chemotherapy experience in a clinical setting.
• Demonstrated experience working with hazardous drugs.
• Sterile compounding experience (hazardous and non‑hazardous).
• Active Illinois Pharmacist License
