Caring for elderly individuals as a companion and caregiver in their own home, providing compassionate support during overnight hours. The caregiver will work independently, ensuring safety and comfort while assisting with daily needs. This live-out position requires reliable transportation for errands and appointments.
Responsibilities
- Provide companionship and emotional support to elderly clients
- Assist with basic medical and personal care needs
- Ensure a safe and comfortable environment throughout overnight shifts
- Manage errands and appointments requiring transportation
- Monitor client well-being and report any changes
- Maintain clear and compassionate communication with clients and families
Preferred Qualifications
- 3+ years experience in elderly care
- CNA or HHA certification preferred
- Strong companionship and empathy skills
- Basic medical assistance knowledge
- Excellent communication and safety awareness
- Reliable own transportation
