Operating Room - Surgical Technologist - $1900 per week.

Shift: 8:30 AM - 7:00 PM

Experience:

• 12 months of experience with 3 months within the last 12 months.

• Certificate completion required.

Requirements:

• This role may require floating to additional units and locations

• Travel only, local not allowed. Candidates must live >50 miles from facility to be submitted.

• 24 months gap required between for Staff at Program: RightSourcing Program - Carle Health and no current placement allowed at Program: RightSourcing Program - Carle Health.

Additional Details:

Required Skills/Experience:
Independently scrubs basic surgical procedures.
Applies basic knowledge of electricity, chemistry, computers, robotics, and lasers for optimal surgical patient care.

Required Credentials:
Associate's Degree in Surgical Technology OR Certificate of completion of Surgical Technology program.
Temp Illinois licensure is not accepted.

Unit Details:
Functions as the first, second, or assisting Surgical Technician as part of the perioperative team under the supervision of the Registered Nurse during the intraoperative period.
Provides age-specific care to obstetrical patients.
Responsibilities include charging for equipment and supplies, room turnover and set-up, maintaining and cleaning equipment, identifying items needing repair, and sterilization, disinfection, and load documentation.

Shift & Scheduling:
Weekend rotation.
Holiday rotation.

Floating Requirements:
Travelers assigned to the Greater Peoria Service Area may be required to float between Carle Health Methodist Hospital, Carle Health Pekin Hospital, and/or Carle Health Proctor Hospital. The Carle Leader will notify the traveler directly when there is a need to float between locations.

7 days maximum time off. Maximum consecutive days off: 3

2 Charge/Lead references required from within the last 2 years

Driver's license required

• CST (Certified Surgical Technologist (NBSTSA)) or the alternative certifications CORST, NCORST, NCST, NCST, NRCST, TS-C
